A different way
In the movie Dead Poet Society, an English teacher (played by Robin Williams) stands on top of his desk on the first day of school and announces:
“I stand upon my desk to remind myself that we should constantly look at things in a different way.
See, the world looks very different from up here…
Just when you think you know something, you have to look at it in another way.
Even if it may seem silly, or wrong, you must try.”
He then gets all of the students to stand on their desks in order to see the room differently.
Today, if you are being challenged by a circumstance or a relationship, don’t seek more validation for what you already believe to be true.
Instead, seek out a different point of view—one that maybe you haven’t been open to before.

P.S. I’m going on five months of daily cold showers. Just turning on the cold water in the morning definitely gives you a different perspective on what it means to “shower,” and how long it should last. We’ve launched a 30-day Cold Exposure challenge in my online community for those of you who want to give it a go and get some accountability with it — trust me, you’ll need it. Your first two weeks are free. More info here
