Are you making these 5 meditation mistakes?
As popular as meditation is these days, it’s still a really ambiguous practice for most people.
You sit down. You try to quiet your mind. It gets even louder! And you walk away thinking “there’s either something wrong with my mind—or with the practice.”
Here’s the thing: You’re not alone. Most meditators are quietly enduring that experience. I too sat through that crap, for years!
And when I later met my teacher, and he showed me how to go beyond the busy mind, I realized how much of meditation is the blind leading the blind.
Remember, there’s no widely recognized certification for becoming a meditation teacher, coach, or guide.
So literally anyone and their mother can wake up and decide they teach meditation.
Anyway, I find that 99% of the frustration comes down to the same 5 misconceptions that get repeated over and over by well-meaning coaches and guides.
And this week’s episode of The Spiritual Perspective is all about clearing up that confusion.
.
.
Here’s what we’ll talk about:
Why meditation often feels like a bad performance
What to do when your thoughts won’t slow down
Why most people never make it past the frustrating phase
Why doing less is more when it comes to meditation
The real reason meditation feels like a chore for so many
What actually makes you more likely to stick with your daily practice
And much more…
Watch the episode here.
And by the end, your understanding of what it means to meditate will be better than 99% of the people who call themselves meditators.
