Fast-track the healing

Fast-track the healing

I saw a quote that read: true healing only happens after you take an honest look at the role you’ve been playing in your own suffering.

In other words, if the story of your suffering is mainly about how someone else mistreated you, it’s going to take a loooong time to heal.

However, when you can tell the story from the perspective of what you could’ve done differently or better, you will begin to fast-track the healing.

There was once a teacher who drew two small arches connected in the middle on a chalkboard. He asked the class what do they see? Everyone answered: a bird. He said, actually, it’s an illustration of the sky.

His point: we are conditioned to identify the small detail (the bird), but we ignore the larger aspect of the situation (the sky). And behind every pocket of bad luck is a massive spiritual lesson—but we must be open to seeing it.
