Looking foolish

Looking foolish

Are you afraid of looking foolish?

This week’s podcast guest Sarah Cooper is not.

Sarah has been on the podcast before, after blowing up from her TikTok Trump impersonations back in 2020.

That led to a tidal wave of opportunities, including hosting the Jimmy Kimmel show, getting her own Netflix special, and being cast in a Jerry Seinfeld movie about Pop-Tarts.

While all of that goodness was happening, Sarah got divorced, moved back in with her parents, grappled with imposter syndrome, and lived constantly on the brink of looking foolish.

In this episode, Sarah shares insights from quitting two high-paying jobs to do stand-up, filing for divorce (twice), the power of family, and lessons learned from navigating “overnight” success and fame.

This was her justification for betting on herself:

“I just didn’t see myself designing websites and interfaces for the rest of my life. But I could see myself writing when I’m 80. And even on my deathbed, I could see myself writing in a journal as the last thing I do. So I had to follow that.”

If you’re searching for a path that feels more aligned with your soul, then this episode is for you.

So whether you're folding clothes, cooking, or going for your daily walk, give this episode a listen.

I think you’ll find it incredibly inspiring.
