Make a decision

Make a decision

Here's why you can't avoid making a decision:

Refusing to make a decision is still a decision—you're deciding to stick with the status quo.

When you postpone a decision, you're actually deciding that it's not a priority.

Telling yourself you're "waiting for a sign" means you've decided to ignore your inner guidance.

And letting someone else decide for you? You're deciding to hand over control of your life.

Since there's no avoiding the decision, you may as well make the best one for you.

After all, a choice you make intentionally will always serve you better than one made by default.

Becoming more spiritual mature means going from passive decision making to active. It doesn’t mean you have to have it all figured out. But what you’re doing when you make a decision anyway is you’re trusting your inner guidance. The more you listen to it, the louder it gets. The more you ignore it, the quieter it gets. And you obviously want a louder inner guidance over a quieter one.

Meditation helps to turn up the volume as well. If you start my 108-Day Meditation challenge, by March 2025, your inner guidance will be significantly louder than it is today—which will make it far easier to make decisions in the new year. Take the first two weeks of the challenge on me with our free two-week trial here.

My passions include keynote speaking, leading meditation retreats, hosting my podcast, and writing self-help books, like Travel Light, Knowing Where to Look, Bliss More, and The Inner Gym. I’ve also got a thriving online community with fun challenges and masterclasses for becoming the best version of you. You can see more about me at lightwatkins.comor follow my journey on Instagram.
