Never explain
Never explain
I saw a Paulo Coelho tweet that read, "Never explain yourself to anyone... you don't need anyone's approval. Live your life and do what makes you happy."
It reminded me of Elbert Hubbard’s, "Never explain. Your friends do not need it, and your enemies will not believe you anyway."
And then there's Benjamin Disraeli's, "Never explain. Never complain."
Maybe it’s possible to never explain yourself, maybe it’s not.
But as a fun experiment, see how long you can go today without explaining or complaining.

A year ago, I launched a 30-Days of No Complaining Challenge. Each day, you self report on whether or not you complained. So far, no one has gone all 30 days without complaining. But even if you get through just 10 days in a row without complaining, we will credit back your entire accountability fee. Several people have been able to do that. And in the process, they got to become people of action. Up for the challenge?
