Spirit’s plan
Spirit’s plan
Gandhi didn't graduate from law school with plans to liberate India from British rule.
Martin Luther King Jr. didn't relocate to Alabama with plans to lead the Civil Rights movement.
Malala Yousafzai didn't board her school bus on that fateful morning with plans to get shot in the head.
Yet, each experienced a series of unplanned and extremely uncomfortable detours that brought them closer to their true calling.
I believe there are always two sets of plans: our plan and Spirit's plan.
Our plan is often motivated by a desire for more comfort and predictability in life.
Whereas Spirit's plan takes us further in the direction of our calling,
Which is often uncomfortable, yet deeply fulfilling.
It's not that our plan is irrelevant.
Like an umbilical cord, our plan is necessary for getting us in proximity to our calling.
And once there, we will cut the cord and take the leap.
