Some people see doing the right thing as a burden, because it may prohibit them from cutting a corner or two, or manipulating a situation for short-term gain.

But what you realize after much life experience is how unhealthy not doing the right thing makes you feel over the long run.

And how that icky feeling can keep you up at night—because there’s no short term gain that can make up for a lack of integrity.

Conversely, there's no sleeping pill more powerful than the knowledge that you were truthful and fair, and that you didn't trade your integrity for glittery things.

And it works retrospectively too: the second-best sleeping pill is going back and making up for not doing the right thing initially.
