The best thing about failing

The best thing about failing

This week, I’m posting one of my favorite Plot Twist episodes featuring my dear friend Ken Nwadike Jr. (you might know him as the "Free Hugs Guy").

After going from homeless shelter to peace activist, Ken’s story is a powerful reminder of how our greatest setbacks are often setting us up for a much bigger mission.
..

.
After the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, Ken trained to run the race the next year to support the running community and bring positivity back to a race marked by tragedy. But after a year of preparation, he missed the qualifying time by just 11 seconds—twice. He was devastated.

But instead of giving up, Ken felt called to do something, so he returned to Boston—not as a runner, but with a simple sign: Free Hugs for Runners.

.
That small act of kindness went unexpectedly viral, launching the Free Hugs Project and leading Ken to a mission far greater than he could have imagined. He now gives talks across the country, proving that connection is stronger than division.

If you feel like your life hasn’t been going according to plan, Ken’s story will show you why sometimes missing your goal is exactly what puts you on the right path.
