The workaround to change
When a reporter asked Thomas Edison how it felt to fail 1,000 times before he succeeded in inventing the lightbulb, Edison replied:
"I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention that had 1,000 steps."
The reason we get frustrated when trying to achieve our goals is because we forget that real change is a thousand-step process.
If you’re just on step 40, and it’s looking like the change is not happening, the workaround is to keep going.

Becoming a Spiritual Minimalist was also a thousand-step process that involved many leaps and hops of faith.
