Vote for something

Vote for something

Whoever meditates today is casting a vote for a more peaceful world.

Whoever skips their inner work is voting for a more stressful world.

Your algorithm shows you what kind of content you’ve been voting for with your attention.

Each dollar you spend is a vote for the systems that created those goods and services.

And just like there are no throwaway moments…

Upon close inspection, there are also no throwaway votes.

Which means not voting is still a vote for something.

And tomorrow will be the outcome of all of the ways we casted our votes today.

One of the rare moments in life when I was happy to “mail it in” :)

By the way, I don’t care who you vote for. It’s just more responsible to be in the awareness that you’re never not voting. If you accept mediocrity, guess what you’re going to get more of from that person, system, or service? More mediocrity. Because your acceptance of it was a vote for more. But if you don’t want more of it, don’t keep accepting it. Of course there are consequences with every vote. But change doesn’t happen any other way.

If you want to cast a vote for more inner peace, I have a couple of spots that have opened up on my New Year’s Meditation Retreat. Take the leap here.
