Welcome the imposter

Welcome the imposter

I’ve been grappling with imposter syndrome with a certain project for months now.

I feel like I’m completely out of my league, and have no idea what I’m doing.

Even though my coach and friends reassure me, I feel like a fraud.

And…

I continue to put one foot in front of the other.

Because I know that the imposter feeling means that I’m out of my comfort zone and into my growth zone.

I’ve had imposter syndrome many times before…

With writing books, with podcasting, with teaching, with leading retreats.

Pretty much anytime I try something new, I initially feel like an imposter.

And if you feel that way as well, keep moving forward.

Keep putting in the reps.

And keep welcoming the imposter with open arms.

My first meditation retreat in 2015. I was so nervous. Felt like a complete imposter. But when it was all said and done, it went much better than I imagined. As with most things, our fear is much greater than the reality of the situation. And having the courage to say “yes” opened the doors for so many other transformative retreats over the years. The key phase is “say yes.” You don’t have to worry about how you’re going to make it through. Just keep saying yes to your potential. And if you want help, I have a masterclass called Accessing Your Potential in my Happiness Insiders online community. Try it out for two weeks, on me, at thehappinessinsiders.com. Use the code HAPPY for a free 2-week pass.
