What have you lost?

Inquirer: So, what have you gained from meditating every day?

Meditator: Hmm... I can't say that I've gained much.

Inquirer: Then why continue to do it?

Meditator: Because of what I've lost through the practice...

I've lost my anger, my anxiety, and many of my insecurities.

Admittedly, it’s sometimes hard to tell what you’ve gained from experiences like meditation, sobriety, and getting to bed earlier.

But don’t forget to add up what you've lost as a solid measure of progress.
